Science night was a success! Thank you to everyone who came to see some awesome investigations that we got to do throughout the year! Students had the opportunity to observe various fossils. They then thought about what the environment was like where the fossil was found. Students have learned that we can learn so much about what Earth was like millions of years ago just by examining rocks and the fossils found within them. We had a fantastic time during our field trip to the Lowell Mills. We learned about how the canals surrounding Lowell provided power for the Mills. Some students got to be engineers and created a water system to replicate Lowell's. Other students got to be scientists to see which water wheel produced the most energy. Students had the opportunity to meet with their first grade buddies one last time before summer break. Students worked together to create and play a math game. We have enjoyed working with our buddies so much this year! |
